Padding attribute of text is related to text’s distance from other elements of web design such as images and tables. The space between design elements and text is what we call padding. Padding ensures a more clean and readable design.  

Line Spacing

Line spacing is a text attribute which is critical to overall look and feel of text section.  Proper use of line spacing ensures both readability and clarity in design. Regarding line spacing one thing should be kept in mind that too little space effects readability and too much space can make a visitor feel lost. So web designers need to find a solution that lies between the both.
